Moving patients safely
Cots, stair chairs, and patient transfer.
Equipment that protects both patients and crews. We help you weigh capacity, weight, and fit with your vehicles — and we run a dedicated cot repair and service capability, because a cot out of service takes the truck with it.
Quoted for public procurement · on-site and depot service across Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Nebraska, and South Dakota
What this category covers
Cots, stair chairs, and the transfer equipment that moves a patient from where they are to where they need to be — including the powered cots and fastening systems that load them into the vehicle.
These carry the heaviest duty cycle of anything on the unit, and they wear where you cannot see it. Which is why this is the category where "what happens when it needs service" is not a footnote to the purchase. It is most of the decision.
How we help you choose
What we weigh with you
Tell us what you run and how you run it. These are the things we work through before we recommend anything.
- Capacity What the equipment has to carry, honestly assessed against the calls your crews actually run.
- Weight The weight of the equipment itself is part of the load. It is carried by the same people.
- Fit with your vehicles What loads, what fastens, and what works in the vehicles you already own.
- Duty cycle and upkeep These carry the heaviest duty cycle of anything on the unit, and they wear where you cannot see it.
A guide, not a catalog. You will not find a shopping cart here, and you will not be handed a spec sheet and a checkout link. Tell us what you have and what you are trying to do, and we will tell you what we would recommend — including when the honest answer is to wait, or to repair what you already have.
After the purchase
A dedicated cot repair and service capability.
Powered cots and fastening systems have their own failure modes and their own service demands. Through ProTek by LifeMed we run a dedicated cot repair and service capability, so the equipment your crew lifts with keeps working — and the truck stays available.
Preventive maintenance, inspection, and repair, on-site at your station or at our Loveland bench when a repair needs the shop. The service record stays on file for the life of each unit and is retrievable on request.

Trade in the cot you are replacing, or look at graded, inspected used equipment with its service history attached.
